INTRODUCTION

Genital herpes is a common and distressing condition, occurring in approximately 1 in 10,000 people worldwide. It is characterized by the following:

1. Genital herpes is a viral infection that affects the genital, facial, and oral areas. Genital herpes is transmitted by the herpes simplex virus (HSV) when a person has genital herpes. The virus causes genital herpes, and the genital herpes virus is the result of the reactivation of the herpes virus within the person’s body. The HSV infection spreads to the eyes, ears, throat, and other parts of the body through direct contact with infected skin and mucous membranes.

2. HSV is most often transmitted by the sharing of contaminated sexual contact with another person, such as a colleague or friend. The virus infects the eye, throat, and ears.
